Dell'oro, a separate branch of Vinalfood, was founded in 1998 to focus on the Belgian Ho.Re.Ca. segment.
Vinalfood was founded on July 1, 1968 by Elie Platini. He had been, until then, an independent representative for several Italian brands , like his father , Giovanni Platini , had been. Giovanni Platini was an Italian immigrant in Belgium who started introducing Italian brands in Belgium. To date, the company is still in the hands of the Platini family. The current director is Jean Platini, son of the founder.

The Platini family has never lost his ties with Italy. At present, the Italian products still account for 75% of our range. Apart from that, our other specialty lies in Maghreb products.

Dell'oro started initially with the distribution of coffee to Ho.Re.Ca. Today, the range as expanded to a whide variety of Italian products.

What makes the difference? We don't have 5 brands of pasta, 4 brands of coffee, ... We only offer topbrands, of every product range the best possible choice. That's where we stand for! As true treasure hunters of taste ...
Dell’oro, een aparte tak van Vinalfood, werd opgericht in 1998 om zich te concentreren op het Belgische Ho.Re.Ca. segment.

Vinalfood werd opgericht op 1 juli 1968 door Elie Platini. Hij was, tot dan toe, een onafhankelijke vertegenwoordiger voor verschillende Italiaanse merken. Net als zijn vader, Giovanni Platini, was geweest. Giovanni Platini was een Italiaanse immigrant in België, die in 1922 begon met het introduceren van Italiaanse merken in België. Tot op heden is het bedrijf nog steeds in handen van de familie Platini. De huidige directeur, Jean Platini, is de zoon van de oprichter.

De familie Platini heeft nooit zijn banden met Italië verloren. Momenteel vormen Italiaanse producten nog steeds 75% van het assortiment. Daarnaast heeft het moederbedrijf zich ook verder toegespitst op Maghreb producten.

Dell’oro startte aanvankelijk met de verdeling van koffie aan de Ho.Re.Ca. Nu is het gamma uitgebreid met een ruim aanbod Italiaanse producten.

Vinalfood a été fondée le 1 juillet 1968 par Elie Platini. Jusqu’à cette époque, il avait été représentant indépendant de plusieurs marques italiennes. Tout comme son père, Giovanni Platini. Giovanni Platini était un immigrant italien en Belgique qui en 1922 a commencé à lancer des marques italiennes en Belgique. Jusqu’à aujourd’hui, l’entreprise est encore toujours aux mains de la famille Platini. L’actuel directeur, Jean Platini, est le fils du fondateur.

La famille Platini n’a jamais perdu son lien avec l’Italie. Actuellement, les produits italiens constituent encore toujours 75% de l’assortiment. La maison mère s’est en outre aussi plus concentrée sur les produits du Maghreb.
Dell’oro a à l’origine commencé à distribuer du café à l’Ho.Re.Ca. Aujourd’hui, la gamme a été étoffée d’un vaste choix de produits italiens.
